About Chile

Located in South America, Chile boasts a diverse geography. Known for it´s stability and a robust economy driven by mining, agriculture, and tourism, it holds a rich cultural blend and notable spots like the Atacama Desert, Easter Island, Torres del Paine National Park, the Chilean fjords and renowned wine production regions like the Maipo Valley. With a population of about 18 million people, Chile is strongly committed to environmental conservation. The country’s capital is Santiago.

The Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport is located approximately 30 kilometers away from the hotels. The cost of the trip is USD 30. For your safety, it is recommended that you only hire the services from official providers, available before exiting the airport.

Most restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and shops accept international credit cards. However, it is safe to carry a small amount of chilean pesos with you (eg. CLP 50.000 in CLP 5.000 and CLP 10.000 bills)

The US State Department qualifies Chile as “Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution”.
Thus, to avoid unpleasant situations, stay in the safest neighborhoods – Vitacura and the eastern end of Providencia – and only take taxis at night. Uber, or pre-booked taxi organized by your hotel are recommended.
